潮州!!!

My first week here in Chaozhou was soo good!! First off my new companion is Elder Whitworth from Orem, Utah.  He has been out as long as Elder Strong, so just finished training.  We had a week full of miracles.  We had an investigator named Sister Xu pass her baptismal interview on Saturday!  She is super awesome,  She is about 55 years old and has a coworker who is a member of the church from Idaho.  Her coworker this past summer took her to Utah and toured temple square and even met D. Todd Christofferson and Deiter F. Uchtdorf!  She said ever since her trip she has had a big desire to follow Christ and be baptized!

On Wednesday night we had a lesson with an investigator named Susan at the chapel, as we pulled up to the chapel and were unlocking the gate a 12 year old kid came up behind us on his bike and was just staring at us and the chapel.  So we went up and talked to him,  He said he had been to the church about a year ago, and forgot how to pray so he asked us to reteach him how to pray and said he wanted to start coming to church again!  WHAT A MIRACLE!  We scheduled another time to meet and when that time came we had a very spiritual lesson in which he committed to a baptismal date, to read, and to pray!! It was soo awesome.  We then called him last night and he was soo excited to tell us that he feels God answered his prayer.  This has taught me a valuable lesson that it does matter the age of a person, it matters when the Lord has prepared this person to fully accept his message. I love the Gospel and the mercy the Lord shows me every single day.  As I have been out on my mission, I have realized just how imperfect I am.  But these imperfections give me a desire to strive to be more like my Savior.  It is not easy, but with the Lords help it is possible.  As we rely on the Lord we can truly become the disciples the Lord needs us to be, and we will be able to be tools in helping much good happen in this world.

Sadie Crump, Ashton and Bubba's daughter was born last week!! I want to tell them how much I love them and I know they will be great parents!

Thank you everyone for the love and support!
